Hi, I'm
Amanda Wright

ROA Team

Our society does not 'do death' well, be it EOL care, knowing what to do and expect and how to navigate death and dying, having difficult yet necessary conversations with loved ones and clinicians, grief and loss etc. It is a privilege to be part of a business that is passionate about and is changing the way we do death in Australia. I came to Bare as an EOL Doula, having supported both parents at their end of life, friends and family. I have been an arranger and a funeral / memorial conductor with Bare and now have the extremely rewarding task of closing the circle for families by returning their loved one's ashes home to them.

Born:

Sydney

Grew up in:

Sydney

Currently lives:

After living on the Central Coast for nearly 11 years, I am now back in Sydney

Why I love what I do:

To have the opportunity to meet and listen to the stories from families and friends about the people I am chaperoning home is such a heartwarming and humbling experience. I never know what to expect when a door is opened for me - tears, joy (I've had people so excited to have their loved one return home they had photos taken with me), shock, calm, overwhelm, sudden feelings of realness and finality... but, no matter how people's feelings show up when they open the door, I am welcomed in with gratitude for chauffeuring their loved one home and immense gratitude for Bare and the care, service and respect their loved one and themselves have received.

When I'm not at work:

Spending time with my husband, children and our mini dachshund, Pilates, gardening and cooking ... lots of cooking, music and noise!

Let Amanda and our team help you with funeral arrangement.
